To convert a html formatted file to Excel format here's one procedure:
1. Open the html file of interest and then save it to your computer.  Save the file by clicking on 'File' and then 'SaveAs...'
2. Start MS Excel
3. Under File select 'Open...'
4. Open the .htm file you saved. Make sure you set 'Files of type:' to HTML Documents so you can see the file.

This should give you an Excel file that you can easily edit.
